What is counselling?
Counselling is a space for you to talk with an impartial, trained mental health professional. A place where you will not be judged, given advice or told what to do. Counselling can help with a range of issues. These include anxiety and low mood. It can also serve as a way to learn more about yourself.
What can I expect to happen?
Initially you will be offered a free 15 minute consultation with me either by video or telephone call. Sessions after that last for 50 minutes. During the first appointment we will talk about your goals and what you wish to get out of counselling. Appointments are typically on the same day and time each week. You can choose from a video or telephone call.
How many appointments will I need to attend?
There is no set time frame for therapy. I offer open-ended sessions and we will review our work together regularly. I find clients usually know themselves when it is the right time to stop therapy. I do offer block bookings of 8 sessions for those who wish them.
